PSJA ISD Recognized with numerous State Awards for outstanding communications efforts 

PHARR – Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District (PSJA ISD) received multiple statewide awards for outstanding communications and public relations at the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) Annual Conference. The district was recognized for its efforts in storytelling, student and staff recognition, marketing, and social media engagement during the TSPRA Star Awards Ceremony recently held in San Antonio, Texas. 

TSPRA is a professional organization that promotes effective public relations practices in Texas schools. Each year, the TSPRA Star Awards honor excellence in school communications across more than 40 categories, including social media campaigns, newsletters, event promotions, and branding efforts. 

Among school districts across Texas, PSJA ISD’s Communications Department earned the following awards: 

• Crystal Certificate of Merit – Recognizing exceptional work in school communications. 

• Three Best of Category Medals – Highlighting top projects in specific categories. 

• Fourteen Gold Star Awards – Acknowledging excellence in various communication initiatives. 

• Five Silver Star Awards – Honoring high-quality work in multiple media formats.
